This place is just fantastic, it changes character by day. Fantastic range of ales. Its not the cheapest pub in Edinburgh, but its worth it. The reastraunt downstairs is simply first class.

Quite why this place is so popular is beyond me. Perhaps a look at the clientelle gives it away - anyone who can afford the inflated prices and can talk over the over-loud music, perhaps? Before the recent refit Bert's across the road was a better and cheaper bet; I'd gravitate towards Thomsons or Ossians in Morrison Street now.

Decent place and tasty food downstairs in the Basement restaurant. Good range of beer and wine at Teuchters, not too noisy so you can sit in the comfy seats at the back and have a conversation. Friendly and pleasant bar staff. Nice quite little street in the West End, but just a few minutes walk from Princes Street. Recommended.

Visited Teuchters recently for dinner. A perfectly fun evening. A drink upstairs first in the well run pub. The restaurant is well organized and efficient, however tables are very close together and it can become noisy. That said, food, service, ambience and value first class. Bench seats outside for we smokers would be nice and appreciated.

A good selection of beers and comfortable furniture, but often far too noisy for any hope of conversation and horribly overpriced. Bearable when it's quiet, but better to try Bert's, over the road.

Perfect Place to meet up with firends after work, or for watching sport at the weekend, or to continue drinking after the pubs shut at 11. Sandwiches and Games behind the bar, the Staff are friendly and helpful. With a wide range of spirits and Whiskeys this is a pub with tastes that suit everyone. It is also a great place to wait while waiting for a table at the fabulous 'Room at the West end' which is the restaurant downstairs. The bar is kept clean and tidy and the atmosphere is firendly and relaxed. You are guaranteed a good time

This North-East Scottish themed pub actually stocks the P & J newspaper - now thats a rare (but pleasing) find in Edinburgh. Little points like this just underline the fact that this is a really class pub. Nay bad.

A really nice and modern feeling Scottish bar - without the kitsch but still Scottish - which is a rare find for Edinburgh. Good layout and atmosphere and also pretty close to city centre, while still being off the main track. (The definition of Teuchters is presented on a sign behind the bar if you don't already know)
