Even though we visited as a group of five at a very quiet period, 12.30pm on a tuesday, staff not too interested or friendly. Zero atmosphere, yet this makes some sense as the whole building feels like a shopping mall.
Had to remind waitress that we were hungry/ time limited ie hurry up!
Not going back, bare faced overpriced passable food.

I have been to the Slug and lettuce a few times and don't appear to have received the same service as some of your reviewers. We have had great nights and found the staff to being really friendly. the place looks as if it could do with a revamp but i have been in worst places than this. Do think prices of drinks, particular wine is expensive.

This place should disapear into a big hole in the ground. It has nothing to offer apart from being near the playhouse. Expensive everything and no real indication of why. The anoying part is that its alwasy been busy when I walk past! Silly people.

Went in there recently for a celebration and it was fairly busy but they left the massive seating area to the side empty as it was set for the next days food service, not sure how many people left but they missed making a few wxtra bucks

I was visiting edinburgh and came across the omni centre where we found the slug and lettuce. We had fantastic service and the food was great. It was very busy but the staff member who served us still went out of her way to make us feel special. Great Night all round

Rubbish - Rude bar staff, very expensive drinks and even though they have comfy chairs I did still not feel comfortable drinking here.

If you want to go for a pint in a shopping centre - then this is the place. Devoid of any character, the only reason you'de be there is if you'd been at a show in the Playhouse. The night I was there - it was hugely busy all places nearby and we wanted food. they were obviously coping with an unexpected rush (although it was over Xmas/New Year, so they should have been prepared). But it still doesn;'t excuse dirty plates sitting on all the tables.

Pretentious, stuffy, stuck-up i could go on, not only is it snobbish it is unbelieveably expensive, th ebar staff are rude and will take ages to serve you. The only good thing is that as soon as you walk out the door Lloyds No 1 is waiting to welcome you.
