I would like to review this establishment but unfortunately never got the chance to enter! We were kept hanging around outside because it was apparently full, despite other people being allowed to enter. Door staff very rude and abrupt.

I went here with my other half and brother (fussiest eater on the planet) we sat outside (an amazing feat in scotland !!!)the food was excellent, we all found something we liked and it was not at all as expensive as i thought, although £8 for a glass of wine is probably why !!! i found the staff helpfull. it's a lovely place to go for alfresco lunch. even though it was busy inside of executive lunch types, they had no problem serving us looking like scruffy students !! fab views too !

As it says but you can hardly credit a restaurant for good views. Edinburgh is a stunning city and if you live where we do in New Town you can have the view for free without having to suffer badly cooked burgers, olives served with chewed stones in the bowl and slow service with the waitress unconcerned that we didnt eat anything and the front desk woman suggesting that she had nothing to with food..

My first time in oloroso, I had to wait for a seat outside when there was at least 7 free tables that I could see. I was then handed a drinks menu inside, a really good one, then when I was about to order a cocktail I was told I had to leave the menu inside and look at a completely different one outside which had a quarter of the selction on it. When I asked to order a drink from the first menu I was told I couldnt have it, despite the fact that the drinks where coming from the same bar and the one I wanted was more expensive than the other ones, they still said no and gave no explanation. Then when I asked for an ashtray (do remember I'm outside) they said it was non smoking and that if I did light a cigarette I would be asked to leave, again, no reasonable explanation. Won't ever be going back despite the fact the staff were friendly, but when I go out I want to order the drink that I want and comply wit the non smoking thing we have by smoking outside. Get your head of your backside whoever came up with those ridiculous rules oloroso!!! remember word spreads fast. get it fixed!!!

Evry body thinks this "Style bar" is just for pretty people and will just be you know what i mean , just not welcomeing for your avrage Jo Shmo.
well the truth is it`s nothing like that at all.
the staff are great the customer base frendly and the food and drink on offer top notch
plus the location ( second best in the uk, thats why i went before going to the number one spot at the 3 chimneys)
Any way enough of my ramblening it`s great just go
