NB's bar is now a beautiful cocktail lounge, serving great contemporary and classic cocktails with a great lounge atmosphere. A completely different bar to the old NB's which was a pub now it is stunning bar try it for yourself Nb's fits into its top location in edinburgh, and will soon make a huge name for itself.

Since the last review this bar has been totally refurbished and is very pleasant to relax in. They have Live Jazz every weekend. Liz MacEwan and her Trio are resident on Fridays from 9pm and Guest singers play on Saturdays with their own Bands. The staff are professional and friendly. Why not drop in and try it out for yourself?

This is the public bar in the Balmoral Hotel. The hotel was originally built to serve the railway and was called "The North British Hotel" - hence the name of the pub "NBs". This name is still a bit un-PC. The bar is strange - not bad as a basic boozer - prices ok and cracking location but it is a bit shabby and doesn't really fit as the bar of a 5 star hotel. Take it or leave it.
