Junction Bar,The - presented by Edinburgh Pub Guide

Pretty good pub for a local. Two Parts - A part with some locals and a bar and a lounge to the right, which is mainly inhabited by students. Fairly decent food.

this used to be a really nice little boozer with pool tables and jukebox - nice seating areas too .
On my return i find its dirty, full of dodgy looking drunks and really not recommended in the slightest .

Used to be nicer cleaner and friendlier but because of the cheap prices, it has attracted every dodgy drinker in a 5 mile radius.the place hasnt had a decent clean either in months or so it seems. dont go if your some posho student you wont last 2 pints before getting scared.

I recently popped back into this place after not visiting for around 18 months and expected it to be better post smoking ban ... I was sadly disappointed! Can't believe how badly this place has gone down hill. The place (and clientel) could do with a good clean. Where have all the young folk gone? Stayed for one and went to drouthys...

Good varity of drinks, Great prices. It has the old and local day time and the the students n the yougs at night.

Yes - Its got cheap drinks, Yes - its a nice size and all that, Yes - it has a (small) table, but...

It takes stupidly long to get served because all the locals go (old men usually) and you can stand at the bar and wait for ages whilst locals walk up and get served first...

foods ok though, one of those 'unlimited chips' places, so theres a plus.

Go for a short drink to start your night, dont plan a night there mind.

A pub filled with myriad memories- those cheap pints can make anything happen. From crocodile tears to the fat guy who climbed up on the table!! A pub fa macho men to emotional women. My type!!

Not a bad pub at all. Normally have pretty cheap drinks. There is also a pool table and a cash machine. Good mix of students and locals.
