I have been here a couple of times now, and I still have to compliment the food. Value is not too bad, but you dont mind when you taste what you pay for.
The big downfall is with the staff and service. Both times I have been in the staff have been very stuck up and not the best at cleaning up.
When there are 3 of you eating, and you are on your third round, would you not expect your glasses to be bicked up? Well dont here, we were eating roung the pile of empties....
Another issue is, never leave anything there, the staff will never be able to help you.
We left a bag (luckally nothing important in it). The next day I called to ask if they have it but they couldnt say yes or no, instead I received a very sharp "LEAVE YOUR NUMBER AND WE WILL CALL BACK", they hadnt called back two days later.
Then I decided to go in and ask in person, to which they wanted my name and number again, as they were too busy to look.
So dissapointing, as the place has allot of potiential, but the staff lets them down.
And I am not the first to say that!

Menu is shockingly overpriced and didn't seem very good. I also prefer to enjoy my meals not surrounded by people who think they are the world. If thats your cuppa then by all means enjoy.

I booked Iglu a month and a half in advance wanting to try something a bit different on a weekend trip to Edinburgh - on arriving the small dining space was occupied by couples and a small group of women enjoying their food. Atmosphere was quiet and intimate - ideal for a couple wanting to enjoy a quiet birthday evening. However within half an hour of arriving (and the waitress being pre-occupied with the arrival of a large group) - we had to ask for our drinks we had ordered and were suddenly drowned out by the noise of the arrival of 20 people. Having to shout to each other across the table wasn't wasn't my idea of a romantic evening. However, when the food arrived - it was delicious and made the whole evening bearable (despite after finishing dinner our empty plates were not taken away for over 20 minutes due to the demand of the group table). The waitress even made the comment 'You didn't pick the best night to visit'!!! Overall - the food was worthwhile visiting for - but if you happen to be there on an evening with a large group - good luck getting attentive service and trying to hear your date!!!

Top tunes, great food, free-flowing drinks, sexy barman.
What more could you ask for?
The sexy barman's phone number?!
