5 customers - Saturday lunch - sluggish service. 2 goats cheese and sun dried tomato salads arrived with a sliver of goat's cheese rind and no sun dried tomatoes. When we complained we were told that they had no sun dried tomatoes, which was why our salads came without them. They did not explain the lack of goat's cheese. Eyes rolling and giving us a tirade of abuse the manager eventually, gave us our meals for free, but we were then to leave the restaurant, never to return. Don't worry about that - we won't

Actually, I begger to disagree with the other commennts from 2006. I was there in July 2007 and found it quite amenable. Spacious. Plenty of tables. Can't vouch for the food though, as I have not eaten there.

characterless space with scattered tables and a long bar that seems to take ages getting served from . Ended up going elsewhere as it took so long.

Youd have more fun with a can of lager in a bus stop .

I have spent countless hundreds (both minutes and pounds)in what used to be a really friendly bar but after a recent drink (A very quick one at that!) I shan't be back - rude and uninterested staff,horrid washrooms, dire food and just general dingyess added to a deeply unpleasant experience. What a shame

On first entering the establishment we were met at the door with a surly female staff member who seemed to truly hate her job and had a face like a smacked bum, not really the warm scottish welcome we were expecting After being disgruntingly shown to a table we ordered our dishes. We were then told after 10 minutes that the food we had ordered was not available and also that most of the rest of the menu was not "On". This was a Monday lunchtime!?! it seemed it could not get any worse but with continued bad service, rotten food (the salad looked like someone had thrown up on it) that was only the beginning. I had an item of clothing damaged from their lillies pollen and I asked the staff what could be done about this. I was asked to come and see their boss outside. I naturally declined and asked if the boss could come to me. The "Boss" never appeared but send staff back to me in tears to explain they could "not find him". The final insult was when the surly female who had taken our order in the beginning said "So what... what do you want us to do about it". At this point we left without paying which I have never ever done before and was stressed out having just wanted to have a nice lunch with friends. We were all appauled by this and hope that this review can only save other people from wasting good money and time in such a shocking environment.

great place to come to start your night off (or day!!), have the nachos over a couple of bottles of cheap wine. Interiors nothing great but the staff are very friendly.

used to be a great destination bar but on my last visit this bar has really hit skid row dirty, bits of paper hanging off ceiling and the menus photocopied unreadable and this shows with the attitude from the staff who are beligerent and lack the ability to overcome the shortcomings of the bar. what a shame this used to be a graet bar i hope that they fix it now.

This is definitely one of my favourite places to go for a drink / coffee after a long day shopping on George Street. You can get a drink and we'd highly recommend the nachos to share.

It's also a good place in the evening as long as it's not too busy and the big tables make it really sociable.

Great nachos that can be shared over cocktails and wine specials. Can be too noisy, music could be better.. But after a few you won't notice!
