The Caley, is a nice friendly boozer, mainly down to the staff.

Great drinks selection and good real ale. Food is nice as well.

Despite location next to station, it seems to attract a fair amount of regulars.

Didn't come down this end of the city very much until quite recently. Had an excellent lunch and some fine beers served by friendly and helpful staff. My idea of a dream pub.

On the 25th November the temperature dropped, the snow fell and the wind blew hard. Not really wishing to leave my hotel, I agreed to meet a friend at the Caledonian Ale House at noon. We left at 7.30pm having enjoyed good whisky, good beer, good food and attentive service. It's a crying shame that this most welcoming pub is due for demolition. Go visit while you can!

I have frequented this establishment on many an occasion; always leaving with my cockles thoroughly warmed and a belly full of scrummy-yummy beer. The staff are all little gems, as too are the cheery managers...with one exception however. Exhibit A ladies and gentlemen. A tubby little Irish lad with a temper to match. If I could change one thing about the place it would be him. Other than that, HOORAH for the Caley and the joy it brings!!

I visited this lovely pub in the spring of 2003. The ales were great, as were the cheese and chutney baguettes. The best part of the experience was a charming floppy-haired American fellow that worked there. If I remember correctly his name was Jeff. His smile warmed my heart and reddened my face. I highly reccomend this establishment.
