It is a great bar but to be honest I've had my fill of the exceptionally rude and grumpy bar staff over the last couple of visits. To pay over 3 a pint and have to cope with them being quite so obnoxious too doesn't really tempt me back.

Nice little spot off the beaten track with attatched veggie restaurant. certainly wasnt dirty in the times ive been their but it is a little pricey and i was served by a mute more interested in his book than giving the customer a friendly word or 2 .
However it has great beer and is somewhere a bit different from the usual mediocre scene and to be commended .

This place is tiny - most living rooms are bigger. It is so grubby as well. It does have good bottled beer selection, but it is pricey. About 3.30 a bottle of Erdinger. Apart from bottled beers this place has nothing going for it at all. The only people who drink here are students.

Fantastic, intimate pub. No tourists or students please. Brilliant DJs, particularly Dolphin Boy on a Saturday. Cute barmen (occasionally, Saturdays!) Very cool bar.

edinburgh needs many more pubs like this, small, cosy, a dj, loads of german bottled beer. All ages come here from all walks of life. Too hot and smokey on a saturday night.
