Venue was excellent (the Honeypot).

Staff were attentive and courteous on arrival. The Bride and Groom and all the guests were well looked after throughout the entire reception.

Complementary drinks were provided on arrival. The meal was excellent. All in all very good value for money.

visited the beehive for romantic meal ahead of marathon 2007. Service was painfully slow, the waiter upstairs was great, but overworked, there were two maitre'd's who could have helped but just flitted about like butterfly's. Food great, service poor, bit overpriced.

This used to be a really great pub. The place itself is still nice to look at but the menu seems to have changed from being the better end of pub grub to some chain-style menu. Not bad if you decide to eat once you're there but I wouldn't make a special effort, Biddy Mulligan's is better.

i went to this pub in november 2004 with some friends. it took a long time to get served and when i did the barman claimed there was no change in the till and i had to wait for my change while he served other people. 10 to 15 minutes later i was still there waiting. one of my mates came over and pestered him to give me my change. if he hadnt i would probably be still standing there now.

What makes this pub special is the easy to miss beer garden - right below the castle rock.
